Online De-escalation Skills and Trauma session

Registrations for the upcoming online training session on de-escalation skills and trauma are now open! If you registered for the previous event on 18 September, you do not need to register again, as your registration will carry over to this new date.
As part of our partnership with Healthway, Football West aims to promote mental health and wellbeing within the football community. We invite you to participate in this important session presented by Richmond Wellbeing.
Online De-escalation Skills and Trauma session:
The session will equips club members with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to signs of distress or trauma in the field with empathy and sensitivity. Participants will learn how to defuse tense situations, prevent further escalation and promote a safe and supportive environment within the club.
The training will help individuals understand the potential underlying causes of certain behaviours, enabling them to effectively manage and de-escalate tense situations.

This training forms part of the "Action Items" under the "Mental Health and Wellbeing Education" of the Kick Off the Conversation Implementation Planner.
Points allocation: Up to 5 points per club representative completing the training module. No more than 15 points will be allocated for the mental health training category.
