Mental Health Awareness Session by Richmond Wellbeing
As a part of our partnership with Healthway, Football West aims to promote mental health and wellbeing within the Football Community. We would like to invite you to participate in an upcoming training session on trauma awareness presented by Richmond Wellbeing at the Sam Kerr Football Centre.
Trauma Awareness training session: The session will focus on trauma awareness, basic mental health concerns, drug and alcohol, some de-escalation skills, and how to help a person who is struggling. The premise is that when people understand the long-term effects of trauma, they become more empathetic to people’s problems (it’s not what is wrong with someone, it’s about asking what has happened to that person).
